π What is a King Tide?
King tides are the year's highest high tides β when a full or new moon lines up with the moon at its closest to Earth, the extra pull piles water higher than normal. Around Fripp, that means highs of 7.5 ft or more: water over low roads and docks, and the marsh at its most dramatic. Beautiful to watch, worth planning around.
